Our Projects

At Annuit Trading, community and environmental welfare is at the forefront of all our operations.

In order to give back to the people and protect the resources thanks to whom and which we remain successful, we regularly partner with relevant organisations to lead sustainability and community outreach programmes that simultaneously tackle prevailing environmental and societal issues.

Coconut Ceylon

We at Annuit Trading founded Coconut Ceylon in partnership with the Coconut Growers Association of Sri Lanka (CGASL), a collective voice for local coconut farmers, advocating for their rights, fair compensation, and sustainable agricultural practices. Our partnership with CGASL is pivotal in combating plastic use, both within Sri Lanka and globally, by offering eco-friendly alternatives while simultaneously championing fair pay and recognition for the hard work of local coconut farmers. Our role within this collaboration involves introducing, promoting, and distributing handmade coconut shell tableware.

Through this partnership, we aim to bridge the gap between coconut shell artisans and potential customers such as restaurants, and tableware outlets. By employing our expertise in the areas of marketing and exports, Annuit Trading acts as the facilitator, distributer and promoter of these sustainable, handcrafted products, thereby supporting the noble cause of environmental conservation and fair trade practices.

RHA Sri Lanka

Robin Hood Army (RHA) is a non-profit organisation with branches world-wide which was founded with the vision of providing meals for the less fortunate whilst simultaneously tackling the global food wastage problem by packing and re-distributing food donations and surpluses from hotels, restaurants, and private events to poverty-stricken communities.

Packing Food in Boxes

We at Annuit Trading partnered with the RHA to establish a chain in Sri Lanka. We played a crucial role which included securing a headquarters, recruiting volunteers, and sourcing donors. Following RHA Sri Lanka’s successful implementation, we acted as Project Coordinators for the Colombo city region; heading a team of volunteers for the packaging and distribution of food. We are proud to acknowledge that Robin Hood Army Sri Lanka remains in operation today.

Upcoming Project: Animal Welfare

“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be measured by the way its animals are treated.” - Mahatma Gandhi

We at Annuit Trading consider this statement to be wholeheartedly true, and believe the sentiment can and should extend to individuals as well as businesses. As such, we plan to partner with recognised Animal welfare and rescue organisations in Sri Lanka — a nation wherein the quality of life for both domestic and wild animals leaves much to be desired — to educate and assist the public on matters such as improving protection measures for Sri Lanka’s wildlife as well as the treatment of its stray cats and dogs.
